| Work description | Malarkey Legacy Composition Shingle Roof Installation Remove the existing roof system to the open sheathing boards and dispose of all debris. At this time, the complete roof structure is to be checked for dry rot and/or any other wood related issues. Repairs and/or wood replacement will not be painted. Over the prepared roof surface, a layer of Malarkey Secure Start® underlayment is to be installed, followed by the application of Malarkey Vista/Vista Cool – Lifetime Limited Warranty - Class A fiberglass dimensional shingles are then to be installed. A new galvanized metal nosing is to be installed around the perimeter edges. New galvanized pipe and vent flashings are to be installed and sealed in conjunction with the roofing and painted to match the roof. New roof to wall and step shingles are to be installed in conjunction with the roofing and painted to match the roof. New painted galvanized skylight and chimney flashing also will be installed during the roofing process. Air intake will be achieved by installing Ridge Vent and O’Hagin low profile eyebrow vents. The flat areas will receive a mechanically fastened IB Roof Systems PVC Single Ply membrane. membrane with pre-fabricated flashings and other items to comprise a roofing system. The work includes fasteners, roof membrane (80 ml), one layer of ¼” DenDeck, pre-fabricated flashings for protrusions of pipes, IB clad metal, edge metal and detail metal, sealants, exhaust vents, plumbing stacks, fire barriers, and vents and flashings |
