When using Appendix G, the Performance Cost Index (PCI) shall be less than or equal to the Performance Cost Index Target (PCIt) when calculated in accordance with the following: PCIt = (BBUEC + (BPF BBREC))/BBP Proposed Modification #1: The project proposes to use site energy usage, in Btu, for the Performance Rating Method in lieu of the Performance Cost Index, in dollars, typically required by Section G1.2.2. Construction Code #2: Table G3.1.1-3 Baseline HVAC System Types of the 2017 DC Energy Conservation Code includes multiple system assignments for Residential building type category but not Other non-residential categories as shown in ASHRAE 90.1-2019 and beyond. Proposed Modification #2: Allow the baseline system used in this project to be System type 1 which would align with the intent of later versions of energy codes.
