A video inspection revealed multiple areas of severe corrosion throughout the existing drain line. According to Streamline Plumbing, the cast iron pipe has rusted through in several locations, with holes present along the bottom of the pipe. Due to the extent of the deterioration, the drain line is no longer structurally sound and is at risk of failure. Replacement of the damaged drain line is recommended to prevent pipe failure, sewage leaks, and further property damage. |
