| Work description | Res: Remove all existing plastic/vinyl siding at single-family residence. Install new weather-resistive barrier system (building wrap, two layers Grade D paper, flashing membrane, and sealant at all penetrations and transitions) over wood-sheathed walls; assess and prepare existing stucco substrate where exposed. Install galvanized welded wire lath, mechanically fastened to framing, followed by three-coat stucco system (scratch, brown, and smooth finish coats) with fiberglass mesh embedded in polymer base coat over entire exterior. Replace perimeter soffits (excluding front porch soffit) with new DensGlass sheathing and 2" continuous soffit vents for attic ventilation. No structural changes. All work per current California Building Standards Code and City of Palo Alto amendments. |
