| Work description | Climate Pros Heating & Cooling will perform a complete replacement of the existing package unit with a new gas-powered package unit, providing both heating and cooling in a single, self-contained system. This upgrade will improve system efficiency, reliability, and comfort while maintaining compatibility with existing ductwork and utility connections. The existing package unit will be safely disconnected from all ductwork, gas, electrical, and condensate lines, then removed and responsibly disposed of in accordance with local codes. A new gas package unit will be installed in the same location, whether on the roof, a ground-mounted platform, or curb adapter. All existing supply and return ductwork connections will be inspected and reconnected or modified as needed to ensure proper airflow and sealing. Gas piping will be reconnected and pressure-tested for leaks, and electrical wiring will be updated as necessary to meet current code and the power requirements of the new unit. The condensate drain line will be inspected or replaced to ensure proper drainage from the evaporator section. A new disconnect and whip will be installed if required, and the thermostat wiring will be reconnected or upgraded to ensure full compatibility with the new unit. The system will be started and tested in both heating and cooling modes to confirm proper operation, airflow, gas ignition, and thermostat communication. This scope includes full replacement of a gas package unit and reconnection to existing utilities and ductwork. |
